My dad's pc sucks. Only about 3 months old, and the damn thing is already giving me problems. For approximately the past 24 hours and counting now, it has refused to allow sign-ins for both hotmail and ebay. Both sites load and Ebay can be browsed as usual...but when I try to sign in, and I keep getting this "Page Not Available" crap. I've tried reloading, and I've checked all my settings; nothing has been changed from what it normally is. I tried signing in on my mom's sn- same result. Hell, I was logged in to both yesterday morning, with no problems... tried several times last night and today, with no luck. I've been in my hotmail and ebay today on another pc, so it's got to be a problem with mine. 'scuse me if this is a stupid question from a pc know-nothing, but anyone have a clue WTF is up with my pc, and/or what I can do about it? Or is this just some temporary, annoying thing AOL does from time to time?

Wish I could help you, but I'm technologically illiterate. I'm sure somebody around here might be able to give you some advice. Might sound stupid, but have you checked your firewall? Just a thought. Tcht.

First thing that came to mind was that maybe you was blocking cookies from those sites, which you need to allow to log in. But if that was the case, it would tell you that you'd need to enable cookies.

If it is 'page not available' that your getting, thats usually down to the sites server not responding. This can also happen if you're on a slow or temperamental connection, where your computer waits for a response for a set time, before telling you page not found. There's not a great deal you can do about that.

    Anyone got any other ideas?

Maybe open a different browser, instead of using the AOL piece of crap.
